CATHEDRAL CITY, CA (September 5, 2022) – Sunday morning, a driver died in a two-car crash on Date Palm Drive and Varner Road.
 
The incident involving two vehicles occurred just after 8:30 a.m. Moreover, it occurred on Date Palm Drive, south of Varner Road in Cathedral City.
 
According to reports, a northbound vehicle on Date Palm Drive drove across the southbound lanes. Then, the vehicle crashed head-on with a southbound vehicle.
 
As a result, the driver of the northbound vehicle succumbed to injuries before the Cathedral City police and fire officials arrived.
 
Meanwhile, officers confirmed that the southbound vehicle occupants sustained moderate injuries and required hospitalization.
 
Furthermore, the authorities haven’t released the identity of the man.
