1 Dead in Mission Valley Accident on I-8 Freeway
MISSION VALLEY, CA (August 31, 2020) – Early on Sunday, a driver died in a succeeding crash on the I-8 Freeway.
According to reports, the victim drove a red Saturn that hit the center divider east on Mission Gorge Road. Then, the driver went across the 8 Freeway and halted.
Subsequently, the driver was ejected from the car and was hit by a passing Mercedes.
The occupants of the Mercedes pulled over and reported the incident to 911.
The authorities received the report at 12:40 a.m. Meanwhile, the authorities closed the westbound 8 Freeway for multiple hours during the CHP investigation.
