Driver Killed in Big-Rig Accident on Interstate 15 [Corona, CA]

Motorist Dies in Pedestrian Crash on Temescal Canyon Road

Corona, CA (July 2, 2022) Early Friday morning, a big-rig accident on Interstate 15 killed a driver of a stalled sedan.

Reports say that the fatal crash happened around 2:40 a.m. north of Temescal Canyon Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), a big-rig struck the victim’s stalled vehicle. The impact caused the semi-truck to roll onto its side.

Authorities say that the Kia sedan broke down in the slow lane and had no hazard or other lights engaged.

Meanwhile, a big-rig on the no. 3 lanes did not see the sedan. Consequently, the truck struck both the ve3hicle and its driver, who is standing next to the vehicle.

Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department (RVCFire) paramedics responded to the scene and found the victim dead at the scene.

Authorities blocked northbound lanes due to the truck’s cargo spilling onto the road.

Officials are still investigating the incident and have not released additional information regarding the crash.
