TRABUCO CANYON, CA (December 28, 2021) – Monday morning, a driver died in an auto accident on Live Oak Canyon Road near O’Neill Regional Park.
 
The incident occurred at around 3:45 a.m. on Live Oak Canyon Road near O’Neill Regional Park.
 
A 22-year-old Costa Mesa man drove south on Live Oak Canyon Road at an unknown speed. The impact ejected the driver. Meanwhile, responders took a 24-year-old Mission Viejo male passenger to Mission Hospital.
 
According to reports, the driver died and his passenger sustained moderate injuries after their pickup truck overturned near O’Neill Regional Park.
 
At this time, the authorities continue to investigate why the driver lost control.
 
Also, the authorities haven’t disclosed the identity of the driver due to pending family notification.
