Toyota Driver Killed in 2-Vehicle Collision on Victoria Avenue [Oxnard, CA]

Oxnard, CA (April 6, 2023) – On Wednesday, a Toyota driver lost his life in a 2-vehicle collision on Victoria Avenue.

The fatal collision happened at about 5:09 a.m. in the area of Teal Club Road.

Oxnard Police Officer Alexis Arellano stated that the victim was driving a westbound 1993 Toyota Corolla on Teal Club Road. He entered the intersection at Victoria Avenue and collided with a northbound 2020 Chevrolet pickup truck.

The Toyota driver, who was the sole occupant in the car, died at the crash scene. 

The pickup truck driver, on the other hand, remained at the accident scene and cooperated with investigators.

Officers said the accident scene is located in a mostly agricultural area. There are stop signs on Teal Club Road but not on Victoria Avenue, and the speed limit is 55 mph.

The authorities are still investigating the fatal incident and do not think alcohol was a contributing factor.
