Driver Injured in Vehicle Collision on Interstate 80 [Fairfield, CA]

Fairfield, CA (January 2, 2023) – A driver was injured following a vehicle collision on Interstate 80 Monday morning.

The Fairfield Fire Department crews responded to the collision west of Red Top Road.

Apparently, a Hyundai Sonata with major damage on the driver’s side and a tractor-trailer with moderate damage to its front were incoled in the accident.

The driver, which was the vehicle’s only occupant, was freed from the vehicle and was transported to a trauma center with moderate injuries. 

Officers are investigating the cause of the collision.
