Injuries Sustained after SUV Crashes into Cattle Truck near Oasis Road
REDDING, CA (November 27, 2018) – A driver was injured Tuesday afternoon following a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 5. The identity of the victim was not disclosed to the public at this time.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near Oasis Road, at about 2:06 PM. A Chevrolet HHR spun out of control in the rain when it was struck by a loaded big-rig cattle truck.
The unidentified SUV driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital as a precaution. Meanwhile, the truck driver and a male passenger did not sustain injuries in the crash. It did not appear that any of the cattle inside the truck were hurt.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the collision and to identify possible contributing factors. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
