Driver Ejected during Santa Barbara Car Accident
SANTA BARBARA, CA (February 15, 2019) – Friday afternoon, a man was involved in a single vehicle car crash on Highway 101.
According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the accident occurred at about 3:40 PM on Highway 101 just south of Refugio Road.
California Highway Patrol responded to a Dodge Dakota that had overturned in the northbound lanes of Highway 101. Fire Captain Dave Zaniboni stated that the driver was ejected from the vehicle and ended up in the center median.
He was immediately transported to the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for further medical evaluation, however there have been no updates on his medical condition.
There has been no further information released regarding the circumstances leading up to the incident at this time as it is still under investigation.
