Esgar Vital Arrested for DUI Following Lemoore Car Accident
Lemoore, CA (October 15, 2020) – On Thursday, a driver was hospitalized, while police arrested 24-year-old Esgar Vital of Hanford, in a DUI crash on North Lemoore Avenue.
On October 8, at around 6:30 p.m. an LPD officer stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of Falleneaf Drive on multiple reports of the vehicle swerving and almost crashing.
Also, one reporting party said the driver was intoxicated. Thus, authorities followed the vehicle and updated the police of its location.
Furthermore, Vital fled as an officer was trying to stop him.
After a short pursuit, police said Vital ran a red light at the intersection of North Lemoore Avenue and Cinnamon Drive. He crashed into another vehicle in the 700 block area.
Vital did not sustain injuries in the crash. However, the rescuers rushed the other driver to a local area hospital, where he was treated and later released.
The Arrest
As a result, authorities arrested Vital. They booked him into Kings County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs causing injury, evading a police officer causing injury, evading a police officer while driving the wrong way, and driving on a suspended license.
Consequently, Vital’s bail was set at $55,000 dollars.
This is a important reminder to not drink or use drugs prior to driving.
Also, practice safe driving habits on the road at all time, even when it is empty, even when there is no police officer around to make sure traffic laws are obeyed.
