Injuries Reported in Redding Auto Accident on Placer Street and Cumberland Drive

 
REDDING, CA (November 7, 2022) – Saturday night, a driver suffered an injury in a two-vehicle crash on Placer Street and Cumberland Drive.
 
The incident happened at about 6:15 p.m. on Placer Street and Cumberland Drive.
 
When the authorities arrived, they located a 2009 Toyota Corolla with major damage just east of the intersection of Placer Street and Cumberland Drive. They also found a 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche with moderate damage.
 
After the crash, the 66-year-old Toyota driver from Redding sustained major injuries. Thus, responders took the driver to Mercy Medical Center.
 
Meanwhile, officials revealed that the Toyota traveled west on Placer Street. As the driver prepared to turn left onto Cumberland drive, the Chevy driver traveled east on Placer Street approaching Cumberland Drive.
 
Also, officers confirmed that the driver of the Toyota Corolla made a left turn directly in the path of the oncoming Chevrolet Avalanche. Then, the Chevrolet Avalanche crashed with the passenger side of the Toyota Corolla. As a result, both vehicles stopped east of the intersection.
 
Moreover, officers noted that the Toyota driver is in stable condition.
 
Also, they haven’t confirmed whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
 
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
