Man Hospitalized after San Diego Car Accident
SAN DIEGO, CA (April 29, 2019) – A female driver suffered injuries in a car collision on El Camino a North County road on April 28.
Firefighters pulled the woman out of the vehicle after the head-on collision which occurred at 10:04 a.m.
The collision happened on El Camino Real between San Dieguito Road and Sea Country Lane, the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department revealed. According to reports, the crash scene is near the San Dieguito River and just west of Del Mar.
San Diego Police Officer Sarah Foster said that a 17-year-old boy traveled north on the road “at a high rate of speed.” He then hit a 25-year-old woman driving a car in the opposite direction.
Moreover, her vehicle went off the road and authorities extricated, Foster and San Diego Fire-Rescue Battalion Chief Dave Pilkerton said.
As the firefighters successfully freed the woman, medical responders transported her to a hospital. She received treatment for a fractured pelvis, Foster added.
Meanwhile, the male driver didn’t suffer any injuries.
