Driver Injured and Arrested after 10th Avenue DUI Crash [San Diego, CA]

SAN DIEGO, CA (August 2, 2022) – Saturday, authorities arrested a driver who suffered injuries in the 10th Avenue DUI crash.
 
According to reports, a male driver of a Corvette traveled along with his female passenger. As they traveled at a high speed eastbound on 10th Avenue, they struck a parked car.
 
Then, the driver continued and struck a second parked vehicle. Eventually, the Corvette left the roadway and drove onto a sidewalk crowded with homeless tents.
 
Then, the car struck a tent whose occupants had just gotten out of a few minutes before the crash.
 
As a result of the crash, the male driver sustained injuries. Responders transported them to a local hospital. Also, authorities placed him under arrest for DUI.
 
Meanwhile, the female fled the crash scene and came back. Responders found pieces of the Corvette fiberglass embedded into her skin. However, she declined medical treatment.
