Man Suffers Major Injuries after Head-On Collision on Elkhorn Avenue

 
FRESNO, CA (September 12, 2019) – A driver suffered injuries in a head-on collision on Elkhorn Avenue, Thursday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 6:00 AM. Due to unknown reasons, a pickup truck and a laundry delivery truck collided head-on near Chateau Fresno Avenue.
 
Emergency responders took at least 45 minutes to pull the pickup truck driver from his vehicle. Then, the driver was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno with major injuries. Meanwhile, it is unknown whether or not the driver of the laundry truck sustained injuries.
 
The CHP continues to investigate the cause of the crash. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
