Injuries Reported Following 2-Car Collision on Byron Highway
BYRON, CA (March 11, 2019) – A driver was injured in a two-vehicle collision on Byron Highway at Bruns Road Saturday night.
According to CHP, the collision involved a Hyundai Elantra and a Lexus sedan. In addition, around 8:05 p.m. the two cars crashed four miles from Byron near Clifton Court Forebay.
A witness reported that one of the vehicles was trying to pass on the two-lane highway. Soon after, it smashed into an oncoming vehicle. However, CHP has not confirmed this information.
One of the drivers suffered major injuries and was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital. Officials closed the roadway in both directions until about 9:50 p.m. The collision is under investigation.
