Crash on Sanderson Avenue Injures Female Driver in Hemet
HEMET, CA (August 14, 2019) — A female driver suffered minor injuries in a solo vehicle crash on Sanderson Avenue Saturday morning.
The authorities said the crash occurred north of Domenigoni Parkway at about 11:50 a.m. The woman was driving a black Toyota southbound on Sanderson Avenue, approaching Domenigoni Parkway and a bridge that crosses an irrigation channel.
As she approached the bridge, she slammed into a guardrail along the center divider. As a result, her vehicle overturned and rested on its roof.
The woman managed to crawl out of the vehicle. However, she tried to leave the scene as per witnesses.
An AMR ambulance crew was first to arrive at the scene and saw the bloody woman walking north on Sanderson Avenue. They stopped her, and evaluated and treated her injuries. They subsequently transported her to an area hospital for treatment.
The Hemet Police Department is investigating the crash. They have yet to determine whether alcohol and/or drug intoxication was a factor.
