Semi-Truck Overturns in Collision near Highway 20

 
NEVADA CITY, CA (May 15, 2019) – A driver was hurt in a semi-truck crash on eastbound 80 Freeway, Wednesday afternoon.
 
According to reports, the collision took place around 1:01 PM, just west of Highway 20. Based on an initial report, the truck jackknifed before it overturned in the lanes.
 
The paramedics were requested for needed medical attention. They confirmed that the truck driver suffered injuries as a result of the impact. They said that the victim suffered shoulder pain and lacerations to the head.
 
Clearing and cleaning operations took place in the area.
 
Meanwhile, the cause of the collision remains unidentified. Authorities are unsure whether one of the drivers was at fault. Authorities ruled out impairment as a factor in the collision.
