Driver Francisco Guerra Dies in Interstate 35 Collision [Laredo, TX]

Laredo, TX (December 13, 2024) – 50-year-old Francisco Guerra was killed in an Interstate 35 collision early Thursday morning.

The fatal crash happened before 8 a.m. on the southbound side of the highway near mile marker 13. 

Investigators said Guerra had parked to the shoulder and was getting out of his Range Rover Evoque when a tractor-trailer drifted out of its lane and struck his vehicle.

Immediately, Guerra was taken to a hospital but was declared dead.

Meanwhile, the big rig driver remained at the scene and reported to 911.

Laredo Police is investigating.
