Injuries Reported in Sonoma County Hit-and-Run Accident near Valley Ford Road and Tomales Road

 
SONOMA COUNTY, CA (June 28, 2021) – Tuesday night, a driver fled after an injury crash near Valley Ford Road and Tomales Road.
 
The incident happened at about 8:14 p.m. near Valley Ford Road and Tomales Road.
 
According to reports, a 65-year-old Valley Ford man drove a 2012 Honda Civic eastbound on Valley Ford Road approaching Tomales Road. Then, a man driving a green or blue Nissan sedan driver turned from westbound Valley Ford Road onto Tomales Road.
 
Then, the Nissan’s front hit the left rear of the Civic for an unknown reason. As a result, both vehicles sustained moderate to major damage.
 
Meanwhile, the Nissan driver escaped the crash scene and continued west on Tomales Road. However, the officers couldn’t find the vehicle after they arrived at the crash scene.
 
They also found vehicle parts which led officers to believe the suspect vehicle may be a 2002-2010 Nissan Altima.
 
According to them, the Nissan may have damage to the grille, headlights, and front bumper cover.
 
Meanwhile, responders took a Civic passenger to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for a complaint of pain.
 
Furthermore, the authorities urged anyone with information about the incident to call Officer K. Lemons at the Santa Rosa Area CHP Office at 707-588-1400.
