Police Chase Ends with Hit-and-Run Crash on 5 Freeway in Thurston County
THURSTON COUNTY, WA (April 30, 2020) – Late Sunday morning, a pursuit ended with a hit-and-run crash on 5 Freeway in the Nisqually area.
State Troopers attempted to pull over a speeding car around 11:00 a.m., on the 5 Freeway. However, the 2003 silver-colored Honda Accord’s driver decided to flee.
The chase started on the southbound lanes of the 5 Freeway in the Nisqually area around speeds of 100 miles per hour. When the suspect vehicle exited at exit 109, it then struck another car before fleeing again.
Then, authorities failed to locate the suspect. However, they obtained the license information which helped them traced the driver’s address in Puyallup.
At this time, the police didn’t disclose further information about the hit-and-run crash on 5 Freeway. As more details become available, the public will be informed.
The authorities are also encouraging anyone who witnessed the Honda’s license plate number BQN4589 to contact 911.
