Driver Dies in State Route 410 Collision [Sumner, WA]

Sumner, WA (June 6, 2024) – A driver was killed following a State Route 410 collision Wednesday morning.

It was past 4 a.m. when a vehicle was northbound on State Route 167 toward State Route  410. The vehicle left the roadway at the top of the ramp, traveled through the median, and crashed into a westbound vehicle on SR 410.

Troopers said the causing driver’s vehicle collided with the other driver’s door making the incident almost a T-bone collision. Officers said one of the involved vehicles rolled over.

Sadly, the driver of the struck vehicle died at the scene. 

A third vehicle was also involved in the collision. Luckily, its driver was not seriously injured and was transported to an area hospital.

Meanwhile, the authorities arrested the causing driver for DUI vehicular homicide
