MOORPARK, CA (September 15, 2022) – Wednesday afternoon, a driver died in a head-on crash on Highway 118 near Grimes Canyon Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 2:20 p.m. Also, the collision occurred on Highway 118 near Grimes Canyon Road.
 
Reports revealed that a westbound 2014 Mercedes C-series sedan veered into the westbound lanes for still unknown reasons. Then, it collided head-on with a 2022 Chevrolet box truck.
 
Moreover, responders pronounced the Mercedes driver, a 26-year-old Oxnard man, dead at the scene. Also, paramedics transported the box truck driver, a 49-year-old Moorpark man, to Los Robles Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries.
 
Furthermore, officials confirmed that no arrests were made as of this time.
