GIG HARBOR, WA (November 29, 2022) – Monday morning, a driver died in a garbage truck crash on 118th Avenue Northwest.
The incident happened at around 10:44 a.m. at the 14800 block of 118th Avenue Northwest.
According to reports, a van collided with a garbage truck that was parked and was picking up a trash can.
Moreover, authorities confirmed that the van driver succumbed to injuries and was later pronounced dead.
Furthermore, officials said that there was no evidence that the van driver attempted to brake before colliding with the garbage truck.
Meanwhile, officers asked everyone to avoid the area and to find alternate routes.
