WSP Charges Driver Following SR 97 2-Car Crash
Yakima County, WA (December 24, 2024) – David Parsons of Vancouver was injured following a State Route 97 collision Monday morning.
It was around 9:30 a.m. when the 2-car crash happened at mile marker 35.
Troopers said 2 vehicles were traveling north on the highway when one of the drivers, James Loony of Goldendale, tried to pass David Parsons.
Looney lost control of his vehicle and struck Parsons’ vehicle.
David Parsons was rushed to Kittitas Valley Healthcare with unknown injuries.
Moreover, officers said both drivers were wearing seatbelts during the collision.
Looney was not hurt and WSP charged him with speeding for driving too fast for the road conditions.
