3 Pedestrians Injured in DUI Collision on Sacramento Avenue in Spring Valley
Spring Valley, CA (April 19, 2020) – Thursday evening, a driver was arrested and three pedestrians were injured in a DUI hit-and-run crash on Sacramento Avenue.
Officers first responded in the Lincoln Park area around 10:55 p.m. There was reportedly an assault in the 600 block of Sacramento Avenue.
The suspect was traveling in a black pickup-truck. A sheriff helicopter later found the vehicle speeding on SR 125 before proceeding west on SR 54.
Then, the driver drove on Interstate 5 before getting onto northbound SR 15. There, the driver eventually struck a fence near Churchward Street. As a result, three pedestrians were struck and injured.
Due to the impact of the collision, one victim sustained serious injuries while the other two sustained moderate injuries. However, there has been no update on their current condition.
The male driver eventually stopped after striking another truck in the Commercial and 32nd Street intersection.
Authorities then arrested him on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and DUI.
