1 Detained in Grand Mound DUI Accident on 5 Freeway
GRAND MOUND, WA (July 4, 2019) – Authorities arrested a driver after a DUI crash on 5 Freeway on July 3.
According to reports, a tanker truck overturned just before 5:00 a.m. The truck carried 4,000 gallons of used motor oil, but it’s unclear how much leaked onto the roadway.
The truck driver did not suffer any injury. However, troopers arrested him for suspicion of DUI.
The 5 Freeway shut down while crews worked and cleaned the spilled oil. The state Department of Ecology helped in cleaning the area.
