Driver Arrested after Suspected DUI Crash on Dakota Avenue [Fresno, CA]

Two Hospitalized after DUI Crash at Dakota Avenue and Cedar Avenue

 
FRESNO, CA (September 26, 2019) – Two people suffered injuries in a suspected DUI crash on Dakota Avenue, early Thursday morning.
 
According to the Fresno Police Department, the incident happened at about 5:30 AM. An Audi ran a red light near Cedar Avenue and collided with another vehicle. The driver of the Audi lost control of his vehicle, slamming into a traffic light and three other vehicles.
 
Emergency responders rushed the driver and the passenger of the Audi to a hospital with unspecified injuries. Updates on their current conditions remain unknown.
 
Police later arrested the driver on suspicion of driving under the influence. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the collision. Investigators will release additional information to the public once it becomes available.
