2 Hospitalized after Semi Overturns near Midway Avenue
LUCERNE VALLEY, CA (June 11, 2019) – Two people suffered injuries in a semi-truck crash on Highway 18, Tuesday afternoon.
According to San Bernardino County Fire, the incident happened near Midway Avenue, at about 2:31 PM. Due to unknown circumstances, a Robertson’s Ready-Mix truck and a silver minivan collided in the 34500 block of Highway 18. The impact of the crash caused the semi-truck to overturn.
Firefighters requested a helicopter Reach H325 to airlift the semi driver to Loma Linda University Medical Center. An ambulance also transported a passenger in the van with minor injuries. Updates on their current medical conditions remain undisclosed.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the collision. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
