Douglas Bailey Killed in Bay Park Hit And Run on Clairemont Drive
BAY PARK, CA (April 18, 2021) – Saturday morning, a 59-year-old Douglas Bailey was struck and killed in a crash on Clairemont Drive near Burgener Boulevard.
The incident occurred at around 9:15 a.m. as the man crossed west to east near Burgener Boulevard. At the same time, a woman driving a white vehicle hit him as she drove south on Clairemont Drive.
As a result, the pedestrian suffered severe head trauma.
Later reports say Mr. Bailey succumbed to his injuries.
Apparently, the motorist who struck Bailey fled the scene, but no other information is known.
Once additional details become available, the public will be informed.
The authorities continue to investigate the collision.
