SACRAMENTO, CA (August 29, 2023) – Saturday morning, Dontay Kron McGee died in a tragic single-vehicle crash near Florin Road and Park Place Court.

The incident happened just after midnight near the corner of Florin Road and Park Place Court.

According to the Sacramento Police Department, a vehicle lost control for still unknown reasons. Then, it struck a tree on the border of Sacramento’s Pocket and Greenhaven neighborhoods.

Moreover, the Sacramento Fire Department pronounced the vehicle driver, 22-year-old McGee, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported a young passenger of the vehicle to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
