1 Killed and 4 Hospitalized in Grass Valley Accident on State Route 20 near Chalk Bluff Road

 
GRASS VALLEY, CA (June 6, 2022) – On Saturday, Donald Mayo and three others sustained injuries in a deadly crash on State Route 20.
 
According to authorities, the incident happened on State Route 20 near Chalk Bluff Road.
 
Reports revealed that an eastbound 2002 Acura TL traveling at a high rate of speed failed to negotiate a curb. Then, it veered across the westbound lanes where it collided head-on with a 2022 Ford F350 pulling a livestock trailer with sheep inside.
 
Moreover, responders pronounced a passenger of the Acura, dead at the scene. Then, responders transported the Acura driver to UC Davis Hospital in Sacramento with major injuries.
 
Furthermore, paramedics also transported the Ford driver, Donald Mayo, and his passenger, Denise Mayo, to Sutter Roseville Medical Center for treatment. Also, a second passenger of the Ford, Matt Perkins, sustained minor injuries. However, they Perkins didn’t require hospitalization. Furthermore, the sheep inside the trailer sustained no injuries in the crash.
 
Meanwhile, the incident remains under active investigation.
