Donald Frank Steinhaus Dies in Crash on Highway 46 and North Leonard Avenue [Wasco, CA]

 

Margaret Fladhammer Arrested for Wasco DUI Accident That Killed Donald Steinhaus

 
Wasco, CA (December 17, 2020) – A DUI crash on Highway 46 and North Leonard Avenue killed Donald Frank Steinhaus on Tuesday night.
 
The head-on collision happened on December 15 on Highway 46 and North Leonard Avenue, at about 8:20 p.m.
 
Kern County Sheriff’s office reported that officers responded to the scene and found the two vehicles involved in the fatal crash.
 
According to a report, a 61-year-old driver identified as Margaret Fladhammer from Oceano was driving eastbound on Highway 46.
 
Suddenly, her vehicle veered towards the oncoming vehicle and as a result, the two vehicles crashed head-on.
 
The 43-year-old driver of the other vehicle, identified as Donald Frank Steinhaus, died due to the extent of the accident.
 
Meanwhile, officials transported Steinhaus’ passenger to a local hospital with moderate injuries.

Later, the investigators found out that Fladhammer was driving under the influence that caused the collision. She suffered minor injuries from the crash.
 
Furthermore, police arrested her for driving under the influence resulting in bodily injury, gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of paraphernalia.
