1 Dead in Phoenix Auto Accident near 51st Avenue and Van Buren Street
PHOENIX, AZ (May 17, 2021) – Saturday night, 27-year-old Dominica Cordova died in a crash near 51st Avenue and Van Buren Street.
According to Phoenix Police Sgt. Andy Williams, the crash occurred at about 8:50 p.m. Williams confirmed that the incident involved a PT Cruiser and a four-door sedan.
At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed the identity of the PT Cruiser. Responders took the female driver to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Meanwhile, the other vehicle’s driver, 27-year-old Dominica Cordova, sustained serious injuries. She later succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
The authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash. However, the police suspect that Cordova may have traveled at a high rate of speed.
