Injuries Reported in Cashmere Traffic Crash on US 97 near Blewett Pass

CASHMERE, WA (June 14, 2023) – Monday afternoon, Dominic Henley and five other people sustained injuries in a crippling auto accident on US 97 near Blewett Pass.

The incident happened at around 12:00 p.m. on US 97 near Blewett Pass.

According to reports, a vehicle sideswiped an SUV and continued into oncoming traffic. Then, the first vehicle struck a third vehicle, spun out of control, and collided with a fourth vehicle.

Moreover, authorities confirmed that the driver of the first vehicle, 19-year-old Henley, the driver of the third vehicle, 33-year-old Dustin Sayre, the driver of the fourth vehicle, 51-year-old Michael Nordin, and Nordin’s three passengers, sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash. Also, the driver of the SUV, 71-year-old William Deters, suffered no injuries in the incident.

Furthermore, officials said that Henley fell asleep at the wheel and caused the crash. Also, authorities do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident.

At this time, the circumstances involved in the crash remained unclear. When additional information became available, the public will be notified.
