22-Year-Old Dominic Buchholz Dies in Motorcycle Crash on Route 61 [St. Louis County, MO]

St. Louis County, MO (July 30, 2024) – 22-year-old Dominic Buchholz was killed in a motorcycle crash on Route 61 Monday night.

The traffic collision happened at 7:55 p.m. on the northbound highway, north of Deacon Drive in Huntleigh.

Investigators said Buchholz was driving the 2016 Honda motorcycle alongside the driver of a 2023 Yamaha motorcycle traveling north on the highway’s left lane.

That is when a Honda Element driven by a 70-year-old driver turned left onto northbound Route 61 and merged into the left lane.

Buchholz’s motorcycle rear-ended the Honda Element and the motorcycle overturned. 

The Yamaha then struck Buchholz’s vehicle and overturned as well.

Sadly, the authorities declared Buchholz deceased after being thrown off his motorcycle.

The driver of the Honda Element incurred minor injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital.

No other injuries have been reported in this collision.
