Dog Dies, Pedestrian Injured in Spain Street Accident [Sonoma, CA]

Sonoma, CA (October 19, 2021) – On Tuesday, a dog died and a pedestrian sustained injuries in a Spain Street accident.

The accident happened at about 10 a.m. at Third Street West. 

The unidentified pedestrian was walking his dog on Spain Street. 

Unfortunately, a driver that was turning left out of the Vallejo Home did not see the small dog trailing behind its owner on a leash.

The dog died on impact and the pedestrian sustained a head injury.

The CHP helicopter rushed the victim to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.

“(Police) hadn’t determined what actually happened to cause those injuries,” said an officer. “I was more focused on the man with the head injury.”
