1 Person Hurt in Galveston County Auto Accident near Boyt Road
GALVESTON COUNTY, TX (April 16, 2024) – Sunday night, a disastrous UTV crash near Boyt Road injured one person.
The incident happened near Boyt Road in Crystal Beach.
According to reports, an off-road UTV attempted a U-turn and rolled over for still unknown reasons. Then, the force of the crash partially ejected the 13-year-old male passenger who was riding in the back seat and ended up trapped beneath the UTV.
Responding paramedics airlifted the 13-year-old boy to a hospital with unknown injuries.
Moreover, authorities confirmed that the 20-year-old driver and two other passengers, aged 18 and 17, were not hurt in the crash.
Also, officers said that all occupants of the UTV were unrestrained at the time of the incident.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
