4 People Hospitalized in Pacoima Auto Accident on Van Nuys Boulevard and San Fernando Road

PACOIMA, CA (September 11, 2023) – Sunday morning, a disastrous two-vehicle crash on Van Nuys Boulevard and San Fernando Road injured four people.

The incident happened at around 12:35 a.m. at the intersection of Van Nuys Boulevard and San Fernando Road.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department Brian Humphrey, a pick-up truck broadsided a Los Angeles Fire Department rescue ambulance for still unknown reasons. Then, the force of the crash pushed the pickup truck to collide with a nearby utility pole.

Moreover, firefighters rushed to the scene and extricated two occupants of the pickup truck who were trapped inside the wreckage. Then, paramedics transported the two occupants of the pickup to Northridge Hospital with critical injuries. Also, responders transported two male LAFD paramedics to a Holy Cross Hospital with minor to moderate injuries.

At this time, the cause of the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
