1 Person Hurt in Los Angeles Traffic Accident on Interstate 10 near Jefferson Street
LOS ANGELES, CA (October 26, 2023) – Wednesday morning, a disastrous two-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 near Jefferson Street injured one person.
The incident happened at around 5:07 a.m. on westbound Interstate 10, near Jefferson Street and the Indio Boulevard off-ramp.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a semi-truck and a vehicle collided in the area for still unknown reasons. Then, the crash caused one of the vehicles to leak oil into the roadway, closing all lanes from Monroe Street to Jefferson Street for about two hours.
Moreover, responders transported one person to John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
Furthermore, officers do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
