Injuries Reported in Monterey County Rollover Accident on Highway 101 and Highway 198
MONTEREY COUNTY, CA (July 17, 2023) – Sunday morning, a disastrous single-vehicle crash on Highway 101 and Highway 198 injured 2 juveniles.
The crash occurred at about 11:11 a.m. on northbound Highway 101 and Highway 198.
According to reports, a Salinas woman drove a silver GMC Envoy on a northbound Highway. However, one of the rear tires popped which caused the car to roll over several times and land on a nearby frontage road.
During the rollover, two juvenile occupants were ejected from the car.
Thus, responders took both of them via air ambulance to a local hospital.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
