2 People Hurt in Amarillo Auto Accident on US 287 near Canadian River
AMARILLO, TX (November 19, 2024) – On Monday, a disastrous semi-truck crash on US 287 near Canadian River injured two people.
Reports said that the incident happened on US 287 near Amarillo Creek and the Canadian River.
According to the Department of Public Safety, a semi lost control on the wet road and crashed into a guard rail. Then, the driver of the vehicle over-corrected, struck the center median wall, went through the guardrail, crashed down an embankment, and jack-knifed.
Paramedics transported two people to a hospital with minor injuries.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
