1 Person Hurt in Fresno Auto Accident on McKinley Avenue and Hayes Avenue

FRESNO, CA (February 14, 2024) – Tuesday afternoon, a disastrous school bus crash on McKinley Avenue and Hayes Avenue injured one person.

The incident happened at around 2:30 p.m. on McKinley Avenue and Hayes Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a northbound white SUV failed to stop on time and collided with a Central Unified School District school bus. Then, a third vehicle traveling westbound struck the earlier vehicles.

Moreover, responders transported an occupant of the SUV to a hospital with major injuries.

Furthermore, authorities confirmed that no students aboard the school bus were hurt in the incident.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
