Injuries Reported in Camarillo Auto Accident on Highway 118 near Mesa Elementary School
CAMARILLO, CA (July 28, 2024) – Saturday afternoon, a disastrous police chase crash on Highway 118 near Mesa Elementary School injured six people.
The incident started when authorities started a pursuit against an unidentified vehicle at around 4:20 a.m.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pursuit resulted in three different crashes near Highway 118, near Central and Santa Clara Avenue, and Central Avenue and Beardsley Road.
Moreover, responders transported a total of six people, including a pedestrian, to a hospital with minor to moderate injuries.
Furthermore, officers arrested multiple suspects at gunpoint.
Meanwhile, authorities closed multiple roads to give way to responders and law enforcement agencies.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
