1 Person Arrested in Bakersfield Traffic Accident near California Avenue and Union Avenue
BAKERSFIELD, CA (August 24, 2023) – Wednesday night, a disastrous police chase crash near California Avenue and Union Avenue injured four people.
The incident started at around 8:11 p.m. when authorities received a report of a stolen vehicle near the 2100 block of Bradley Avenue.
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, while in pursuit, authorities deemed the driving conditions to be unsafe and decided to continue the pursuit by helicopter. Then, officers responded to a crash on California and Union Avenues which involved the suspect vehicle and another vehicle.
Moreover, officers confirmed that three to four people sustained minor to moderate injuries in the crash.
Furthermore, authorities arrested the suspect, pending unknown charges.
At this time, the circumstances involved in the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
