Injuries Reported in Phelan Auto Accident on Phelan Road and Aster Road
PHELAN, CA (November 10, 2024) – Friday night, a disastrous pickup truck crash on Phelan Road and Aster Road injured 3 people.
The incident involving a pickup truck with six occupants rolled over several times and went around 200 feet down a ravine on Phelan Road, east of Aster Road, at around 6:27 p.m.
A dark gray Toyota Tacoma traveling westbound veered off the road, descending into a ravine on the north side and coming to rest on its side.
San Bernardino County Fire units arrived to find all six occupants still inside the overturned vehicle. Firefighters helped them exit the truck safely and return to the roadway. After assessments, three occupants were taken by ambulance to nearby hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
Initially, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) treated the crash as a possible hit-and-run but later confirmed another truck was involved, though it was not classified as a hit-and-run. The Victorville CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident.
