Injuries Reported in Berkeley Pedestrian Accident on Warring Street and Derby Street
BERKELEY, CA (September 26, 2024) – Tuesday morning, a disastrous pedestrian crash on Warring Street and Derby Street injured 1 person.
The incident involving an AC Transit Bus that hit a pedestrian occurred at 10:54 a.m. on Warring Street and Derby Street.
As a result, the pedestrian was taken to the hospital with a head injury.
“Because of the severity of the collision, the Department’s accident investigation team is conducting the investigation,” BPD said.
AC Transit reported that the bus had stopped at a Stop sign and, after resuming motion, “a pedestrian came into contact with the bus.” AC Transit also confirmed that no passengers on the bus were injured.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
