Injuries Reported in Oxnard Pedestrian Accident on Rose Avenue and Lockwood Street
OXNARD, CA (July 8, 2024) – Saturday night, a disastrous pedestrian crash on Rose Avenue and Lockwood Street injured 1 person.
The incident occurred at 9:00 p.m. on Rose Avenue and Lockwood Street, south of the Best Buy store.
A 2014 Toyota Camry struck an adult male pedestrian in Oxnard, according to the Oxnard Police Department. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital, where he underwent surgery and is listed in critical condition. The driver of the Camry, a 29-year-old Oxnard resident, stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The initial investigation revealed that the pedestrian was crossing Rose Avenue at Lockwood Street while the Camry, traveling south on Rose Avenue, had a green light. Reports said that the Camry struck the pedestrian during his crossing.
