Injuries Reported in King City Pedestrian Accident on Broadway Street and Franciscan Way
KING CITY, CA (March 12, 2024) – Friday night, a disastrous pedestrian crash on Broadway Street and Franciscan Way injured 1 person.
The incident happened at about 5:30 p.m. in the area of Broadway Street and Franciscan Way.
According to reports, a 16-year-old boy riding a motorcycle failed to yield and entered San Lorenzo Park. As deputies attempted to stop the motorcycle, the rider fled and went across a pedestrian bridge.
Eventually, the rider hit a minor, before he entered the Salinas Riverbed which deputies were able to set up a perimeter around.
After utilizing a drone, officers found the boy and he was later arrested on multiple felony charges.
Moreover, the pedestrian was taken to a local hospital and was later released for his injuries.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
