3 People Hurt in Bakersfield Pedestrian Accident on 21st Street and H Street
BAKERSFIELD, CA (December 8, 2023) – Thursday night, a disastrous pedestrian crash on 21st Street and H Street injured three people.
The incident happened at around 5:30 p.m. on 21st Street and H Street.
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, a white pickup truck backed up northbound through an alley at a high rate of speed and struck three men. Then, the vehicle continued to back up across 21st Street and finally stopped near the downtown Bakersfield Fire station on H Street.
Moreover, responders transported the three men, ages 21, 42, and 77, to a hospital in stable condition.
Furthermore, officers managed to arrest the driver of the pickup, a 72-year-old man.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the BPD continued to investigate the crash.
