2 People Hospitalized in San Diego Traffic Accident on Interstate 15 near Carmel Mountain Road

SAN DIEGO, CA (September 27, 2023) – Monday night, a disastrous multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 15 near Carmel Mountain Road injured two people.

The incident happened at around 7:41 p.m. on southbound Interstate 15, north of Carmel Mountain Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident involved as many as 10 vehicles.

As a result, responders transported two people to a hospital with minor injuries.

Moreover, the crash closed all lanes on southbound Interstate 15 but has long since reopened.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
