2 People Hurt in Fresno Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 180 near Cedar Avenue

FRESNO, CA (January 5, 2024) – Thursday night, a disastrous multi-vehicle crash on Highway 180 near Cedar Avenue injured two people.

The incident started at around 6:00 p.m. when a Fresno PD officer pulled over a vehicle on the ramp of Highway 180 near Cedar Avenue, that was believed to be involved in a hit-and-run crash.

According to the California Highway Patrol, another vehicle struck the Fresno PD officer and the driver of the first vehicle.

Moreover, responders transported the officer and the driver to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Furthermore, authorities do not believe that DUI is suspected of the second driver.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
